It is the time of year where we spend time with families, reflect on the past year, and give thanks. As 2019 comes to a close, the CyberUp team has a lot to be thankful for. We have learned so much over the past 12 months and are ready to take-off in the upcoming year.

A significant aspect to the next phase of our work is with the launch of youth cyber leagues. For the last 3 years, we have engaged middle and high school students in camps and competitions. We have worked with over 5,000 students and we believe inspired many to pursue cybersecurity as a career.

Even with that success, we feel something is missing. A week-long camp or a one-day competition is a blip for most students. They really need something they can do year-round. They need something easier to do with their friends and not necessarily require in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts. Most important, they need something their teachers can help them be successful with.

After wrapping up our Summer Camps, we took a step back and had some deep conversations with our most trusted partners. Those discussions have inspired CyberUp to launch Cyber Leagues in January 2020. Our pilot is locked and loaded. We have the technology in place, 100 students from the region ready to go, and now all we need is YOU!

Will you consider making a donation to CyberUp this #givingtuesday to kickstart our launch of cyber leagues? We will continue to push out more and more information as we get feedback from participants but your gift will ensure 100 students can participate in the pilot and shape a program we believe will scale throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.

You can find more info at our #givingtuesday campaign page!

Thank you for your continued support and please have the best Thanksgiving. We appreciate all you do for our mission.
