Hello! My name is Kelli Kinnikin. I am born and raised in Belleville, IL along with my younger sister and younger brother. Growing up, I have been involved with numerous sports, which has resulted in my goal-driven personality. My favorite color is teal. Something interesting about myself is that I can walk on my hands.

I am currently a student at Fontbonne University and am a member of the women’s soccer team. I am a cyber security major with a minor in computer science. During my time at Fontbonne, I have been on the Dean’s list every semester, which results in having at least a 3.7 GPA for that semester. Being a student at Fontbonne has made me realize the importance of community. While Fontbonne is a small campus, small atmospheres force you to communicate with people, and create personal relationships. I have secured many relationships with classmates, faculty, and coaches that will last a lifetime. The coolest part about being a member of the Fontbonne community is the willingness of my teachers. They are always willing to help with not only coursework, but life as well.

Being an intern at Midwest Cyber Center will provide me with skills that will help me secure a job when I graduate college next spring. The most important thing I want to take away from this internship is experience. Whether that is experience working in an office, with people, or practicing cyber skills, this internship has many opportunities for me to grow as an individual in the cyber security field.
