We welcomed Zakiya Radcliff to the team a few weeks back as our new Candidate Engagement Manager. Her role is dedicated to help our candidates be as successful as possible. Her heart and her passion are incredible. She is ready to take our candidates to the next level! Get to know her!
1.Tell us about yourself.
My name is Zakiya Radcliff and I am the new Candidate Engagement Manager at CyberUp. I am passionate about learning and helping others enhance their knowledge. Helping people leave a legacy for their families and be proud of their accomplishments, brings me much joy. I love to create and work outside the box. Tradition is to stay with what you know, but my life philosophy is “A wise man who knew it all, knew he knew nothing.” Creating hope and empowerment will forever be my driving force at CyberUp.
2.What drew you to the mission of CyberUp?
My life philosophy is what drew me to the mission of CyberUp. The traditional cybersecurity fields have requirements that some people can not obtain on their own, leaving them no hope in the field. Our job is to create that motivation and knowledgeable culture, so that our candidates are not only competitive in the field but become the best at what they do. Closing the gap in the cybersecurity is huge, but you first must be willing to think outside the box!
3.What most excites you about your new role?
What excites me the most about my new role is; I get to help families create positive structures and legacies to leave behind. I get to empower and motivate daily. My candidates make my role possible, but to see them go into an interview with confidence that was not always there, is what drives me to work every day. It is not about where you come from, it is about where you’re going. That is my lesson for all my candidates.
4.What do you hope to achieve here?
I will leave a proud legacy of consistency and personable, when I depart from CyberUp. My candidates will know that they were not looked at as students but as a friend. I will achieve building a program that will allow all candidates, no matter their status, to obtain and contain knowledge their entire duration of CyberUp.
5.What is one piece of advice you would give to someone?
Your best supporter and your worst critique have one thing in common. The answer is; they are both you. You can be your greatest supporter and your worst enemy. Just know as long as you validate yourself, you will never have to find it in anyone else. One Love, and remember you are awesome and always appreciated!!
