DEADFACE is a notorious hacker group who increase their activity particularly in October. They’re all about theatrics and inciting fear. They employ a variety of different hackers, each with their own unique skillsets. One of the calling cards of DEADFACE is that they use a Halloween-themed naming convention for their attacks and artifacts left on their victim’s machines.
We need your help! Team up with your friends to bring down DEADFACE, the notorious hacker group featured in this year’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) CTF. This virtual Capture the Flag competition will take place 9 am Friday, Oct 16, 2020 – 9 pm Saturday, Oct 17, 2020, hosted by CyberUp and supported by local industry professionals and DoD cybersecurity professionals.
This competition will focus on cryptography, steganography, reverse engineering, forensics, programming, traffic analysis, exploitation, OSINT, and more. The difficulty of the challenges will range from beginner level to expert level. Teams will consist of 1 to no more than 4 people.
